What rubber is mainly used in the market?

1. Natural rubber (NR)
Natural rubber (NR) is an isoprene polymer. Has excellent resilience, tensile strength, elongation, abrasion resistance, tear and compression set properties are superior to most synthetic rubbers. Suitable for making tires, shock absorption parts, buffer ropes and sealing parts. Not resistant to oil, poor weather resistance, ozone and oxygen performance. Use temperature range -60 ~ 100 ℃.

2. Neoprene (CR)
Neoprene rubber (CR) is a chloroprene polymer, weather resistance, ozone aging resistance, self-extinguishing, oil resistance second only to nitrile rubber, excellent tensile strength, elongation, resilience, and metal and Fabric adhesion is good. It is suitable for making sealing rings and sealing profiles, hoses, coatings, wire insulation layers, tapes and preparation of adhesives, etc. The product is not resistant to synthetic diester lubricating oil and phosphate ester hydraulic oil. Use temperature range -35 ~ 130 ℃.

3. Nitrile rubber (NBR)
Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) is a copolymer of butadiene acrylonitrile. Generally, it contains 18%, 26% or 40% of acrylonitrile. The higher the content, the better the oil resistance, heat resistance and wear resistance, but the cold resistance is the opposite. Carboxyl-containing nitrile rubber has better wear resistance, high temperature resistance and oil resistance than nitrile rubber. Nitrile rubber is suitable for making various oil-resistant sealing parts, diaphragms, hoses and soft tanks. The products are not resistant to weather, ozone aging and phosphate ester hydraulic oil. Use temperature range -55 ~ 130 ℃.

4. Ethylene propylene rubber (EPM, EPDM)

Ethylene-propylene rubber is a binary copolymer of ethylene and propylene (EPM) or a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene and diene olefins (EPDM). Weather resistance, ozone aging resistance, steam resistance, phosphate ester hydraulic oil, acid, alkali, rocket fuel and oxidant, excellent electrical insulation performance. It is suitable for making sealing parts of phosphate ester hydraulic oil system, rubber hoses and sealing profiles for doors and windows of aircraft and automobiles, tapes and wire insulation layers. Products are not resistant to petroleum-based oils. Use temperature range -60 ~ 150 ℃.
